Comfortable Cooking, Comfortable Drinking, Comfortably sexy!
Ultimately Summer brings out the Sexy in everyone. The heat gives us all the opportunity to drip sexy, In more ways then one. Especially when it comes to delicious food accompanied by delicious drinks. Ive thought of some great dishes that will pair beautifully with a couple of the sexiest drinks This side of the ATL!
Peach Martinis are a breeze and because peaches puree so beautifully its imperative that we combine them with this classic drink. Executing a peach Martini is a breeze just take your favorite vodka and peach schnapps and get to it.
Sweet Georgia Peach Martini (serves 4)
Directions
Zest and Juice about two limes. Combine the zest with raw sugar and set aside. Puree three peaches, a teaspoon of vanilla and add Lime juice. Strain liquid thru a sieve. coat the rim of the glass with the Lime zest and raw sugar. Mix the vodka, peach mixture, and 2 shots of peach schnapps together over ice in the cocktail shaker. Pour into sugar rimmed glass and serve! Note: I didn't include how much Vodka I figured i would let you guys decide just how strong you want these lil babies to be;).
The next Dish I want to pair is the infamous scallop. Ive chosen to combine the scallop with tagliatelle in a trio of mushroom cream sauce. Ive selected a Moscow Mule inspired by seasonal berries. The contrast of textures brings this meal to a light but satisfying conclusion.
Moscow mules are the trend and pretty much always have been in my drunken opinion. I seriously know two things about myself. I happen to love food and hands down adore alcohol. Sue Me....Moving on. Ive taken the traditional Moscow mule and created one with added freshness. Adding Berries completely transforms this from kinda great to fantastic.
Moscow Mule (serves 4)
6 shots of vodka
2 tablespoons of simple syrup
1 ginger beer
1/4 cup fresh Lime juice
1/2 cup fresh mixed berries
Directions
Take chilled Tumbler glasses and add one tablespoon of mixed berries to each glass. Be sure to Muddle the berries first to release the Natural juices. Mix the Vodka, lime juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Pour the vodka mixture into the glass. Each glass should be a little over half way full finish the drink by adding the ginger beer.
The effect will be a Layered Beauty that is absolutely delicious. Although I have used mussels and scallops to accompany these yummy creations. Please experiment with other shellfish and pasta choices to discover the Comfortably sexy chef in you. Lets get cooking and don't forget to Eat happy Ya'll.

Martinis are a great drink for the summer. Mostly because they are extremely versatile, not to mention scrumptious. Martinis are made with Vodka and traditionally pair well with Seafood.
